Mega City Opens in the UK with More Than 150 Games Powered by Sacoa
Mega City, one of the UK’s newest entertainment destinations, has officially opened its doors in Slough. Spanning four and a half floors, the venue brings together more than 150 amusement games, bowling, laser tag, karaoke, immersive VR experiences, food, and cocktails under one roof.
Developed in collaboration with SEGA Amusements International, Mega City features a fully integrated Sacoa Cashless System designed to simplify payments, improve operational control, and allow guests to move easily between attractions.
The installation includes 150 Spark RFID readers, six self-service kiosks, two point-of-sale stations, and Sacoa’s mobile mRedemption solution. Guests can purchase and reload credits quickly, while the venue’s team can manage promotions, monitor performance, and oversee the arcade through a single platform.
By replacing cash and tokens with RFID technology, Mega City can reduce transaction times, keep gameplay moving, and provide the convenience expected at a modern multi-attraction entertainment venue.
With more than 2,500 installations across over 70 countries, Sacoa continues to support family entertainment centers, bowling venues, amusement parks, and leisure destinations with technology that improves efficiency and enhances the overall guest experience.
